Hi MarinaSailing,

Do you offer any kind of packages for tourists visiting LosAngeles area? for example: near by hotel + sailing classes + daysail + hotel  with some discount ?

 Thank you!

Alex,

From what we know there are no special packages, however they can make one for you. This is how we got into sailing. We called Gary at the Long Beach office and we rented a boat for 2 days with a Captain and sailed over to Catalina for the night. Merry Time out of Long Beach comes with free paddle boards so it would be a great boat to rent with a Captain. It would cost roughly about $1,500 for the weekend.

T & T.

Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance !!!

Most medium-large boats in the fleet have pretty decent accommodations on board. Getting a hotel on top of renting a boat sounds redundant to me . I often want to just stay on the boat with a few drinks after I finish a day of sailing anyway! Depending on scheduling and how long you're renting for, they'll usually work with you on staying on the boat before your reservation, or doing a less-than-full day reservation on either side of your main sailing days where you also wouldn't be paying any instructor/captain.  That may (or may not) end up being more expensive than a hotel plus a local sunset sail charter, but it'd certainly give you a more complete experience of yachting in SoCal.

Just food for thought for anyone stumbling upon this now.

Cheers! ~Garrett
