Yes, This past Saturday In Channel Islands,we had three-whales Sailing with us and performing with us like I've never seen before! Jumping out of the water like they were putting on a private show for us. We also had a group of seals who were doing acrobatics for us as well. It was an incredible day and we will be posting footage. The channel islands are an incredible place for marine life, flora and fauna it's beautiful... come on down.

Hi CI3330,
Very interested in taking my kids and try to see whales.
Any details you could share for maximizing our chances?
Best harbor to charter from? Where to sail? What type of whales you saw?
Looking forward to seeing the video as well.
Fair winds!
Best Harbor to sail out of would be the Oxnard Channel in Islands harbor. I would suggest you call Aleyna at the CI office and set up a day sail. The whales were unbelievable, and as I said there were three whales following us and performing for us. The seals were a hoot Following us and doing flips. We think the whales were gray whales but not certain. They were beautiful. Hopefully we will get those pictures and videos posted today.
I already have ASA 104 and 114 so I won't need a skipper. Any direction we should head out of just sail outside the harbor and start looking for spouts?
Thanks a lot.
Go out past the breakers and start looking. I think we were only a mile or two away from sure when we saw all the whales. Channel islands are so beautiful and then you can go onto Anacapa Island which is beautiful.
If you give me email I can send you the videos and photos. For some reason I was unable to upload
I sent you my email in a private message, maybe we can add the video to the Marina Sailing FB page as well.
Thanks,
